Windows 2003

I am upgrading my server from 2000 to 2003. I thought I had cacti 0.8.6b up and running till I started looking at my graphs. I am not getting any graph output. here is the debug messages:

Warning: popen(d:/rrdtool/rrdtool.exe graph - --imgformat=PNG --start=-86400 --end=-300 --title="atlnth42 - Traffic - Vlan1/49" --rigid --base=1000 --height=120 --width=500 --alt-autoscale-max --lower-limit=0 --vertical-label="bytes per second" DEF:a="D\:\cacti-0.8.6b/rra/atlnth42_traffic_in_763.rrd":traffic_in:AVERAGE DEF:b="D\:\cacti-0.8.6b/rra/atlnth42_traffic_in_763.rrd":traffic_out:AVERAGE CDEF:cdefc=a,8,*,1000000000,/,100,* CDEF:cdefj=b,8,*,1000000000,/,100,* AREA:a#00CF00:"In" GPRINT:a:LAST:" Current\:%8.2lf%s" GPRINT:cdefc:LAST:"(%3.2lf%%)" GPRINT:a:AVERAGE:"Average\:%8.2lf%s" GPRINT:cdefc:AVERAGE:"(%3.2lf%%)" GPRINT:a:MAX:"Maximum\:%8.2lf%s" GPRINT:cdefc:MAX:"(%3.2lf%%)\n" LINE1:b#002A97:"Out" GPRINT:b:LAST:"Current\:%8.2lf%s" GPRINT:cdefj:LAST:"(%3.2lf%%)" GPRINT:b:AVERAGE:"Average\:%8.2lf%s" GPRINT:cdefj:AVERAGE:"(%3.2lf%%)" GPRINT:b:MAX:"Maximum\:%8.2lf%s" GPRINT:cdefj:MAX:"(%3.2lf%%)" 2>&1,rb) [function.popen]: No error in D:\cacti-0.8.6b\lib\rrd.php on line 88

Warning: fgets(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in D:\cacti-0.8.6b\lib\rrd.php on line 111

Any idea of where to look with Windows 2003?

Cacti 0.8.6b
Php 5.0.2
mysql 4.0.20d-Win
rrdtool 1.0.48
IIS 6.0

Willie

I can see my graphs now. there appears to be something different between IIS on XP Pro and IIS 6 on Windows 2003. I changed to Apache and the popen issue that I reported at the beginning of this thread went away.

Willie,

There are several changes to the web site configuration that are required for Windows Server 2003. You should look at the PHP.NET website for instructions. Also, I think that there were some posts on this forum relative to installation. Once you have it working, a contrib on installation notes would be beneficial if you feel so inclined. :D
