Create a single graphic - Multiple OID's.

Post by joaoluizmf »

Hi people.
My question is:
- I have 5 OID's, and, I want to create a graphic using those OID's. I don't want to create a graphic for each.

Is this possible? I was reading a topic here, but no conclusion. ( http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=1777 )

Thanks!

If it is table-based data that is indexable then you should do it with a data query. At a high level the steps are 1) Define your data template (can have multiple ds's); 2) Define a graph template that uses your data template; 3) Create the data query which can either be SNMP or scripted. IIRC there is a detailed walk through of this in the documentation.

On the other hand if it s just 5 random OIDs not related by a shared index then you can still do it but you need to define a graph template that uses a different data template/source for each OID. You can't have multiple DS items in a single data source unless it is populated by a data query. Doco has got examples of creating graph templates I think.

Good luck.
