Create Data Input Methods, Sources and Templates from CLI

Hello,
I want to create data input methods, data sources, data templates, graph templates and graphs for a device completly from cli.
I found a script in /usr/share/cacti/cli/ to create a 'Graph template' from script, but I didn't find a cli script for the data template or for adding a new Data Input Method?

Or is my approach wrong and I have to look into Data Queries? (I didn't understand yet the purpose of Data Queries and how they work.)
