graphing data

Post by newbie »

I am trying to pull cpu stats on a win2k adv server. snmp is pulling in the data but my graph doesn't report it correctly.

I have read all of the docs, but I am still lost when converting snmp response to a percentage graph that has a cap of 100%

Any good links/examples would be appreciated. I tried to use the examples which were included in the gzip, however they were using the built in perl scripts which didn't work well with 2k.

Thanks...
BTW, awesome tool!

Hi,

- Have you verified (using the Cron Printout tab) that your DataSource is properly collecting data ? What is the range of the collected data ?
- Have you checked that the type of your DataSource is 'Gauge' ?
- Have you checked that your DataSource Maximum Value is set to 100, in order to be able to store a data from 0 to 100 ?
- In your graph def., have you properly defined the upper limit (should be 100 for a percentage) ? Have you disabled the Auto-Scale ?

Hope this help.
