Percentage usage of a given FC interface speed

Post by relaxibus »

Hi Cacti people!

I´m looking to find a way to graph the percentage utilization from a given Fibre Channel port/interface.

1) I need first to assign the correct port speed to a returned integer from ifSpeed.
query_IfSpeed gives me the integer:
1 = 1 Gbps
2 = 2 Gbps
4 = 4 Gbps
5 = 8 Gbps
6 = 16 Gbps

I can display the ifSpeed integer value in the legend of the graph, but I don´t have any idea on how to assign the correct port speeds and to display it on the graph legend.

2) I whant to scale the graph altitude related to the given port speed.
3) I whant to draw the percentage bandwidth utilization of this given port.

Can anyone help me out?

You need to create a CDEF to calculate the percentage, then you can either graph it or just put it at the bottom of the graph with a GPRINT. A description of how to do this is given here: http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=7250
The ninth post from the top provides the necessary steps to build the CDEF.
