Thold + OSPF values

Hi guys, I've searched the forum for this but no results.

The issue is simple and obvious. I have Cacti + Thold plug-in + OSPF MIB / Template installed.
I see the ospf status is up (as value 8 ) , but when it goes down in place of 1 value i see "-" (NaN value) and alert is not being triggered.
I know its an issue for many people, so my question is:

How can I modify the template / plug-in / poller.php / anything else to change the "-" value to another value (lets say 1)
