I am new here and got a question.
I want to start switchport monitoring via cacti, so i set up a cacti server and tried to configure it.
I bought the "Cacti 0.8 Beginners Guide" Book, because I'm completley new in cacti.
Now I'm really confused about how to create a 1 minute polling.
There are so many tutorials out there, which describes what you have to confgure to get a right 1 minute polling, but all of them won't work for me.
The last tutorial i tried was this one:

But also this wont work for me.
So my question ist:
What exactly do i have to configure to get a correct 1 minute polling with graphs?
(If possible please describe it step-by-step
)My cacti version is 0.8.8b.
