Font alignment differences between 0.8.8b and 0.8.7b

Post by curlyroger »

I recently migrated from an old RHEL4/0.8.7b installation of Cacti to RHEL6/0.8.8b.

Everything has gone swimmingly except for fonts aren't justified in the same format on my graphs anymore. The attached pictures say it all. Everything used to be lined up but now it's not. The font SEEMS monospaced still...?

I enabled custom fonts and changed font sizes but that didn't help. Is there a template or piece of code I can edit to make it align everything properly again?

Thanks,
Roger

Whats the old and new version of rrdtool being used? rrdtool 1.3+ uses different font rendering called Pango. Yes, you still can use monospace fonts, but they're set up a bit differently.

Old rrdtool = 1.0.50
New rrdtool = 1.3.8

I will try other fonts, but I have a feeling it is not a font issue.
