treeview problem after ubuntu 13.10 upgrade

Post by Dutn »

Hi all,

I have a question about Cacti 0.8.8b:

After the dist-upgrade to Ubuntu 13.10 (from 13.04) my cacti has a strange problem with displaying the treeview. It looks like the jstree javascript is not running correctly.
I have checked if the requested packages are available (libjs-jquery-cookie and lbjs-jquery). There are installed and configured correctly.

Normaly the ouput is:
+ tree
- host
+ tree
- host

Now the output is (it is flat without any folder icons)
o tree
o host

Before the update (Cacti 0.8.8a and Ubuntu 13.04) everything was displayed correctly. Does someone has the same strange problem after the dist-update or is there someone who can help me?
I checked all the links, apache is running fine and the Javascript files are in the correct place. Also I read all the related forumposts about this problem but did not solve it yet.

I dont have any plugins running on my cacti installation.

Thank you!

Please add some screen shots. (And maybe draw in an additional graph what you saw before). Trivial to say that it works for me, but maybe you have a different tree structure.

And please report such issues to Ubuntu instead of here for two reasons:
1) Cacti does not provide jstree yet.
2) I would have seen the bug report automatically instead of finding it here after some days.

I've also upgraded to ubuntu 13.10 and cacti0.8.8b.
Tree looks ok so far. There is only a problem with tree collapsing.
A sample:

Code: Select all

(-)A1
 |___(-)number1
 | |
 | |________number2
 |
 (-)A2
 |___(-)number3
 | |
 | |________number4
If I press on A1 the branch collapse. Ok so far. Now I click on number4 and branch A1 opens again. A Bug? The menu thinks number1 is still open.
But if I close all branches step by step, first number1 then A1, then it seems to work.

Yes. It has been reported: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... ug/1218418.

Apparently the bug is fixed in jstree, but I haven't got around to get the fix into the packaging.
