Aggregate Graph - Seq # versus Item #

Getting some odd behavior in my aggregate graphs. I noticed that the Item # does not seem to match the Sequence number reported for the item when I edit it. Should these values match? When I modify other templates, the order of the items in the aggregate graph(s) gets messed up. It only seems to affect the objects where the item # and seq # do not match.
