cacti device creation

Hi

i am working in a maintenance project here already cacti configured and working well. as i am a support guy i got a request to create new device for a host.

when i create the host it will automatically create one folder in the device name and some files "rrd and xml" under the folder. but when i compare with other device folder i found some of the files are missing.

please explain what the stuff behind this.
