Wrong Value for Memory?

Post by sunghost »

Hello,
i created my first Templates ;). The graph looks good and at all its fine, but the value is shown in "39.98 k" while all values like this its correct but the "k". snmpget say "40940 kb" so the graph must show "39.98 Mb" instead of "39.98 k" or "40940 k". My CDEF is only a Custom String "a,0,60000,LIMIT".

I cant find the failure - please help.
Thx

Take a look at the Linux Memory graph template, you may need to change the CDEF function for all items to Multiply by 1024 to get the right results as the input is in Kilobytes. If it is already set that way, just try saving every item. I had the same problem yesterday and it fixed it for me.

Can you provide a little bit more detail about what you are trying to achieve with the custom CDEF? You OP was regarding the value for memory being wrong.

Hello and thx for your response.
I think i got it. As you wrote i changed tie Template Items for Current, Max and Average in de CDEF Function to Multiply by 1024. Now he shows M insetead of k which is the correct value.
