Adding device from cli vs browser - This host already exists

Hi,
When I added new device from cli I got msg "This host already exists in the database", but when I added it from browser I didn't received it. How can I disable creating duplicates from browser?

Well, I know that this is inconsistent.
But both have been required ...
When changing the database table "host" to have a unique index on the column hostname, duplicates will be suppressed by the database ... (custom mod)
