Discovery plugin for cacti 0.8.8a

A. I am new to Cacti.

I have installed cacti 0.8.8a. The main objectives are, network, server management - local and remote; configuration management; trend report generation. I have installed Discovery, routerconfigs, syslog, mactrack, autom8 plugins.

I seek and welcome all help/advise/suggestions regarding the following.

A. I have installed referring to docs available on cacti. However, I am not sure if all these plugins are required.


B. Currently although installed none of these plugins seem to be working. For ex. Discovery is giving "There are no hosts to display" message!

C. Unable to install Manage plug in 0.6.2 (a zip file); on trying to open it gives file error. Pl suggest any alternate download source

For discovery, did you go into Settings and properly setup the subnets that you wanted scanned? You can also run the script from the command line and determine if it is having an issue scanning.
