How Dsstats calculate average value

Good morning,

I´m working with dsstats to obtain the average value of the traffic in one of my Weathermaps file. When I compare the value obtained by dsstats for one measure (dailyaverage for example) with the average that appears on the graph (with RRDtool), both values are not the same, very similar, but not exactly the same.

I would like to know how dsstats calculates this value to understand why there is a difference between both values.
