new data source -> all graphs are dead

Post by alf632 »

hello everyone,
so far i always got the information i needed by just reading this forum, but now i've got to post my first question.

i played arround with the cpu data template to get a more accurate calculation of the number of cpus.

the moment i klicked on "new data source item" all my cpu graphs relying on this data template stopped getting data.
i deleted the new item and crossed fingers my graphs would start plotting again, but they still don't continue.

according to the log data is still comming in:
04/02/2013 03:16:06 PM - SPINE: Poller[0] Host[387] DS[5199] SNMP: v2: HOSTNAME, dsname: ssCpuRawSystem, oid: .1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.11.52.0, value: 59410162

new created graphs of the same template do work well, but the old ones stopped.

i tried rebuild_poller_cache, repair_database, repair_templates and most of the other CLI scripts but none helped me out.

i guess some link went on vacation, because when i go to "Create Graphs for this Host" i can add the same type of graph tough another one is still active on the same host. when i try to add a graph of the same type via add_graphs.php i get the "this graph already exists" message.

i hope i didn't oversee something too obvious and one of you can help me.

ok... i now followed the Issue to the Point where log says:
(I deactivated all faulty data sources except for one)

POLLER: Poller[0] WARNING: Poller Output Table not Empty. Issues Found: 12, Data Sources: ssCpuRawIdle(DS[3193]), ssCpuRawInterrupt(DS[3193]), ssCpuRawKernel(DS[3193]), ssCpuRawNice(DS[3193]), ssCpuRawSoftIRQ(DS[3193]), ssCpuRawSystem(DS[3193]), ssCpuRawUser(DS[3193]), ssCpuRawWait(DS[3193]), ssIORawReceived(DS[3193]), ssIORawSent(DS[3193]), ssRawSwapIn(DS[3193]), ssRawSwapOut(DS[3193])

and Poller Output Table shows:

so... how do I tell Cacti it should continue pasting the poller_output to the RRDs?

Are those DS related to a dead host or a dead graph? Then, please simply delete that
