Hello
We have 3 upstream providers.
I run Cacti using one of them as upstream, call it provider 1.
How would I monitor latency from the others to something remote?
Example:
Latency from Provider 1 to 200.200.200.200 (This is what is easily done)
Latency from provider 2 to 200.200.200.200 (Which would be the recommendable way?)
Latency from provider 3 to 200.200.200.200 (Which would be the recommendable way?)
We have internal LAN that we can reach all borders from a single point, if it helps.
1. Do I need to install Cacti on the 3 borders?
2. Should I add other IPS on the cacti server, in which each of them goes through specific upstream provider? Would cacti handle source IP to make it work?
3. Anything else? Other tips?

Re: Monitoring latency from remote host
I would run a script via ssh on the remote hosts. Maybe that is just me.filipehdbr wrote:How would I monitor latency from the others to something remote?
I don't think this is needed, but it would work. You would have to log in to three different cacti's thought.filipehdbr wrote:1. Do I need to install Cacti on the 3 borders?
