FreeBSD / temperature / fan speed / need help !

Post by Guest »

Hi,

I'm using FreeBSD 4.10. I have looked around the forum to find anything related, but i didn't find anything.

Is it possible to monitor the CPU temperature and the CPU cooler fan speed ?

You can do it with mbmon. I have a script that simply returns the cpu and case temperatures, then I used cacti/rrd to graph them.

I attached the script to this post. Follow the walkthrough in the documentation on how to graph data from a script (http://www.cacti.net/downloads/docs/htm ... graph.html). It's pretty straightforward once you realize how it works. (Data Input -> Data Source -> Graph).

EDIT: Or maybe I didn't attach it. You can get it at http://madleet.com/mbmon-temps.pl

I'm almost there and thank you for the help. My graph aren't showing anything, so perhaps I have some wrong setting somewhere. Can you post your settings, when you have the time ?
