Discovery plugin for 0.8.7g

Hi,

I would like to use a more recent version of the discovery plugin (Currently 0.8.5) to work with my Cacti 0.8.7g (PIA 2.8) installation.

I would like to use version 1.2 or 1.3 or above, but I'm not sure if this is compatible with my system?
And where I can find these older versions.

Is the latest version expected to work?
