rrd_num column in database

What's the meaning of rrd_num column in poller_item table?

Something is wrong with my traffic data template, and rrd_num gets to value of 14 for all rrds that coresponds to traffic_in or traffic_out sources. Since that, rra files coresponding to these data sources won't update. When I lower rrd_num value to 1, it starts doing well, and rras is updating agaian, and I can see it on graphs. Everything else seems fine, and this happens only to traffic graphs.

Line 419 in poller.php, contains conditin based on rrd_num value, but it's not explained what rrd_num and when it's get updated.
