Routerconfigs backups disappear

I recently updated my Freebsd server and noticed routerconfigs was no longer backing up my routers. Upon furhter inspection the tftp transfer is sucessfull according to my xfer logs and the router debug info in router configs but router configs shows no backups and no files are created in the directory where the backups should be. Its like the files are tftped to a black hole and disappear.
