[Newbie Alert!] Monitoring Website Pageload done right
Hi all!
I have been following this page http://www.askaboutphp.com/44/cacti-usi ... art-1.html to start monitoring my website page loads. All is working fine, but i cannot get around the feeling that the way this is set up is way too complicated.
The instructions doesn't make use of templates and devices which, i think, is the way to do this correctly.
Has someone implemented this the correct way and if so, willing to share it with the community?
Thanks,
Ton.

Hello Toontje2,
I created a graph template of the script that you provided in the link that you put in your topic.
Import the xml and put the two php file in your scripts folder (for my case : /usr/share/cacti/site/scripts).
The graph template name is Loading time from a page web, you can rename this name if you don't like it
Bye

The one just above your last one. I commented that something was still wrong, then i found out how to correct it so i wanted to delete that comment. You can edit a comment, but you cannot delete it as far as i can see.tosage wrote:What comment and where ?
More a forum thing than a Cacti thing, i admit.

thanks ! eezy peezy, well done, much appreciatedtosage wrote: I created a graph template of the script that you provided in the link that you put in your topic.

only, 'Time establish connection' is not charting getting 'nan', maybe a typo in template, need to check
also, doesn't seem to be a way to specify host name in displayed values, if you wish to monitor multiple hosts
but, thanks for putting it all together
Re: [Newbie Alert!] Monitoring Website Pageload done right
Hi voytek,
I don't have this problem, maybe put replace in the data template the maximum value like this : U
You can create many graph you want, check Ignore this value on the Title in the graph template and when you create your graph you can specifiy the name of the website.
I do not know if my response answer your question

thanks for quick response, I've tried doing some of above... but, I screwed something up, and, charting stopped all together..
I then tried to 'reverse out' but, perhaps didn't undo as required..
I need to re-do all my steps, as soon as I can, I'll try again, slowly.
thanks again, I'll yell for help again (or, post a success?)
