Traffic Utilisation Exceeds 100%

Post by rmcunnin »

Hi

I am experiencing an issue whereby the real-time monitor is displying way over 100% utilisation. I have a 100Mb interface on a cisco router that sometimes shows as reaching 150Mb. I have tried various timespans and intervals with the same results. Could anyone help to explain why this maybe or if there is anything i can do to resolve this?

Many Thanks
Richard

Not sure, but this looks to me an effect of the rrd tool watching the timestamps and inter/extrapolating to the proper time interval of the rrd. I would say, on average your graph is below 100 so, the time stamps to rrdtool might be slightly off. (Don't know how that can happen).
