Aggregate plugin - inbound/outbound of same device

I'm trying to aggregate inbound and outbound bandwidth together to get total combined bandwidth. I'm looking at the aggregate plugin, but it seems to aggregate across devices rather than adding the inbound and outbound on the same device. Am I missing something?

The aggregate plugin is not needed. I first did it with creating my own CDEF of a,b,+, but then found the Special Data Sources -> Total all Data. This is what I needed.
