How to install Plugins on Cacti 8.8a
Hi All,
I am new to PA and don't find any relevant document for the plugins installation for the 8.8a version.
As the documentation says that this version of cacti comes with the installed PA so, I guess I need only to patch the plugins and change some config files.
Please guide me.
And, thanks for the great work guys.. I really like cacti and appreciate the help.
Thanks

Read http://www.cacti.net/release_notes_0_8_8a.php
You no longer need to install PIA or patch cacti for PIA.

Re: How to install Plugins on Cacti 8.8a
I'm having the same problem an007.
the plugin folder was not in the install directory so I had to create it and tried giving it correct permissions but nothing I did get the system to see the new plugin. Can't find any documents on it either.

Re: How to install Plugins on Cacti 8.8a
Thanks for the reply BSOD2600, I new that already. Just can't get Cacti to see the plugins that were downloaded into the folder (which I had to create)
Seems like it might be worth a shot to install PIA just to see what happens.

Re: How to install Plugins on Cacti 8.8a
Have you installed the Settings plugin? If not then you need to do so.
What can you see in Plugin Management? it should look something like the attached from my Cacti 0.8.8a

Have you enabled any devices to be monitored? If you have, can you post a screenshot of the Plugin Management screen?
What OS are you running?

Re: How to install Plugins on Cacti 8.8a
Thanks for the quick reply ... The problem lies in the fact that I am unable to add devices ... when I click on devices for say the mactrack plugin I get a blank screen. Now if we are talking about devices for cacti in general that is up and running just fine . It is the plugins I am having a problem with.
OS is Ubuntu server 12.04. I built cacti from source
