With a lot of switches that have modular cards, and changes to the interfaces & cards insert/removes i would like to ask if possible that the reindex poller remove any unknown datasources that once existed (possibly with a switch) as well as have it multithreaded to enable a faster reindex on multiple hosts.
Is this a possibility?

Re: Multithreaded reindex & delete removed/unknown datasourc
Well, I won't say no.
The "delete" thingy was already discussed from time to time. For me, it' still the trigger for such a delete that we should discuss about: when exactly is an interface or the like considered as "invalid" and marked for deletion? It should be possible to write your own plugin for that, nevertheless.
The reindex thingy is valid, IMHO. I recently leveraged that part of the code as it is required for a mostly automated graph creation (see: AUTOM8). We should place this onto the feature list for some next release
