Hi folks,
I have a number of devices in cacti using SNMP. Sometimes there are internet connectivity issues with the devices which result in gaps in the data.
Is there any way to make the device cache some of the data locally for 10-15 minutes so cacti can come retrieve it after an outage?
Often network outages are the most important times to record data, so it'd be incredibly valuable to have a buffer that data can be recovered from.

No,
Cacti doesn't work like this. Cacti is an active poller. It polls data every 5 minutes(usually), via snmp pulls or script server scripts. There's no way the client can cache the information because it's literally a snapshot of the data polled at that point in time.
