Hello, hoping someone may have run into this issue - I am running Cacti 8.8a on W2K8-64 hyper-v VM and see that the poller exceeds 300 seconds, and the server appears to be spending alot of time reading rrd files from disk.
Is there a way to force this process to go into memory or cache somehow? When monitoring disk activity I see lots of rrd files with a read operation of 186KB/sec on each file.
As a test, I downloaded a ram drive utility and added it to the system pagefile, and let Windows manage it, and after a couple minutes, the reads evaporate and I can get my polling done in about 12 seconds in the log. Any help would be appreciated!

Look into setting up the Boost plugin to change this behavior.
