Quick questions on Cacti DB schemas

Post by chemmah »

Hi all, I'm in the midst of moving from a 0.8.7b server to a 0.8.7i server. I'd like to move all of the Cacti settings from MySQL (users, devices, trees). Are there any incompatibilities between these version and how they store to MySQL? Can I just do an export/import like:
(from another thread)
mysqldump cacti settings host > dump.sql

Do I need to move all the old host and graph templates as well?

Thanks for your help.

Maybe I wasn't clear. I already have a new Cacti server up with a new DB. I just want to move the data I specified to it. I am not upgrading in place.

I answered my own question using partial DB exports.
