I have never installed a plugin before so I am not
sure if I am doing this right.
I am running Cacti 0.8.7e and I am trying to install
nectar v0.35a. I am using Ubuntu 10.04.
I copied the nectar directory to
"/usr/share/cacti/site/plugins"
and I copied the "html_utility.php" script to
"/usr/share/cacti/site/lib"
I went to the cacti page and looked at the "Realm Permissions"
page under "User Management" and I don't see any Nectar options.
Did I install it correctly and am I looking in the right spot to enable it?

Re: Issue installing Nectar
These paths on debian based systems are deviating from those that I'm used to know. You may want to see related pists of paulgevers who is in charge for the ubuntu team and providing cacti help for this platform

Took a look at his posts but couldn't find anything. I also can't find ubuntu specific instructions for installing plugins.gandalf wrote:These paths on debian based systems are deviating from those that I'm used to know. This is kind of an issue I mean its not like Ubuntu is an uncommon OS for people to be using haha.
Perhaps I could try installing Cacti from scratch instead of using the debian package?

Re: Issue installing Nectar
I hope so. But I don't know whether this will break things. I'd prefer you asking paulgevers, he's the Ubuntu guy ...
