Change Minimal_Heartbeat value

Hello everyone!

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, or has been answered before, but I have a question I couldn't answer with the search feature.

A lot of my RRD files are out of sync and are showing a minimal_heartbeat of 60 instead of 600 which I think is the cause of my graph problems.

However, I am a complete novice to this.

My question is, how do I go about changing the minimal_heartbeat value in my RRD files. I have tried many syntax variants based on the rrdtool man page but I can't quite figure it out. Can someone help me?

I answered my own question. I just changed the values from the web interface under Data Sources -> Edit Data Template. I just re-entered the correct alue, even though it was already listed to update the RRD file.

Correct. You may even change existing rrd file by using rrdtool tune
