Dear all,
First, sorry for my approximate english.. and i don't know if i am really in the right topic..
I have migrated CACTI from a server Microsoft server 2003 R2 x32 to a Microsoft server 2003 R2 x64.
On the old server, i monitored cpu usage on switch 3COM 4210 (via a snmp query) and it worked perfectly. But on the new server, i have no query for this (same host, same file etc..) and i don't understand why..
This snmp request works on the line command on the new server windows but not on Cacti.. All the paths are correct..
And i have the same problem to monitore hard drive space. The queries appear when i add the device to cacti. I can select the disk to monitore when i create the graph but i have snmp error on the log..
It look all snmp requests don't work on cacti on the new server..
Thanks for you help.
System Configuration:
Microsoft server 2003 R2 x64
Cacti 0.8.8a
rrdtool 1.2.x
net-snmp 1.6.1.1
openssl 0.9.8k
activeperl 5.14.2

Re: issues after migrating x86 to x64
created a new topic for you.
1) migrating between x86 and x64 versions of rrdtool cannot occur without exporting and importing the data into new rrd files. the rrdtool manual has more details. This is the likely cause for your problems.
2) the disk snmp issue is a long standing problem (did you search?) with the microsoft snmp agent. try increasing the snmp timeout to 3-5 seconds.
