ERROR: parameter '#00CF00FF' with blank graphs

I've installed Cacti 0.8.8a on CentOS and I'm having trouble with getting the graphs to show. I've Googled this issue and found many, many posts regarding blank graphs, but I can't find a solution. I've entered the command 'tail -f /etc/httpd/logs/error_log' to pinpoint the issue. I found the following error:

ERROR: parameter '#00CF00FF' does not represent a number in line AREA:#00CF00FF:Inbound

I'm not quite sure what this means. Oddly enough I get a different error for the localhost

ERROR: opening '/var/www/html/cacti/rra/localhost_mem_buffers_3.rrd': No such file or directory
ERROR: opening '/var/www/html/cacti/rra/localhost_users_6.rrd': No such file or directory
ERROR: opening '/var/www/html/cacti/rra/localhost_load_1min_5.rrd': No such file or directory
ERROR: opening '/var/www/html/cacti/rra/localhost_proc_7.rrd': No such file or directory
ERROR: parameter '#00CF00FF' does not represent a number in line AREA:#00CF00FF:Inbound

Both display only the title but no graph or data. I'm thinking this might be a permissions issues, but I don't want to just do a chmod 777 on those directories, because from my understanding this isn't the right way of doing things.

Any thoughts? I'm not quite sure where to look to resolve this issue.

So unfortunately I didn't receive any responses, has nobody come across this problem before? Or maybe I didn't provide correct info.

The first error is due to a broken template/data source. It lacks the required DEF for the RRD file(s).
The other one should be fixed by running a poller cache rebuild

I ran the first version in the previous version of Cacti(and that worked), but maybe it doesn't work with the latest version? I was looking for a template for the Catalyst 4506 switch.

I saw that TheWitness wrote a script to run a poller cache rebuild, but I don't think that works anymore? It was back from 2005. Is that something that's built in now possibly, not exactly sure how to go about running that script.
