[SOLVED] php5apache2.dll apache won't start

Post by PriSupport »

Hello everyone,
My first attempt at cacti and got a snag. Loading php5_module makes the Apache not want to restart/start....not sure where to go from here.
Here is my setup:
---
Operating System: winXP SP3
Webserver: Apache 2.2.22 (tried php5apache2_2.dll and php5apache2.dll)
Cacti: cacti-0.8.8a
Spine: cacti-spine-0.8.8a
MySQL: mysql-installer-community-5.5.25a.1
PHP: php-5.3.15-nts-Win32-VC9-x86
---

I understand it is php-apache config thing more so than cacti at this point but could use some help from seasoned users here. Is it a version conflict or something?

Thanks for your time.

Did you follow the windows installation guide and/or http://www.php.net/manual/en/install.wi ... pache2.php ?
Looked in the apache error log?

Thanks for the quick response BSOD2600,
I did and logs were clean as the Apache would not start. However, you pointed me in the right direction and I realized that I needed to install non thread version of php using "php-5.3.15-Win32-VC9-x86" since I had to manually hunt for "php5apache2_2.dll"
http://www.php.net/manual/en/install.windows.manual.php
|-php5apache2_2.dll -- does not exist in non thread safe version
|
|-php5apache2_2_filter.dll -- does not exist in non thread safe version
Thanks again, onto cacti :)
