Hi All,
After playing around on my Kimsufi server from OVH, i am not able to get the graphing of my eth0 interface going. I have run and setup cacti on other servers before (VPS's) and they have worked right out of the box, however this server is proving to be a pain when configuring interface bandwidth monitoring.
I have just setup SNMP 1/2c and 3 in different hosts within Cacti. Both of them do not graph the interfaces. All i see if just Total in and out = 0
I am guessing that the OID references are not lining up and therefore no interface statistics are coming up.
Has anyone graphed a Kimsufi Ethernet port before? If so can you please post here how you achieved it.
I am not sure what details to provide you guys to help me troubleshoot this issue, but if someone could please help that would be great.
Thanks.

Please try to snmpwalk the interface table from cli and post results

Thanks for the reply gandalf.
Here is the output:
It looks like there is no stats for the interfaces. Would that mean i have to load a specific MIB?
Edited: Remove most of the SNMP lines to minimise the page size as they were not needed.

Re: Graphing Ubuntu 12.04 OVH Kimsufi Server
Sorry, but I was not asking for a whole walk
Loading a MIB on the Cacti server won't help. Indeed, we do not require any MIB, as we rely on ASN.1 OIDs only.
But the target system may have to be tweaked to answer to SNMP requests regarding interface. That's a pure matter of the target system, nothing Cacti can provide itself
R.

LOL no worries mate. I will edit so it is not so long on the forum.
Ok so the system i have root access to, would you mind passing me a few pointers as to how i could configure the system to answer the eth0 statistics queries?
Thanks.

I'm sorry, but I don't know the Kimsufi Server
You may want to ask the manufacturer

Re: Graphing Ubuntu 12.04 OVH Kimsufi Server
Hi bud, did you ever get this one sorted?
I have a dedicated server hosted with OVH running ubuntu and i cannot pull the eth0 traffic either
Cacti finds the data source, even showing my IP, the graphs remain empty
to the other user who replied, OVH is not a server of its own kind, OVH are just dedi server hosts, server in question is ubuntu
cacti happily pulls cpu, disk and ram usage from it
Can someone assist
