Greetings all:
I'm very, very new to Cacti and I haven't done literally any work with PHP, Apache, etc so imagine I know nothing about that. If I'm just too inexperienced to run Cacti at all, let me know and point me in a direction where I should start
My goal - I'm trying to graph packet information on a Cisco Nexus 5000/7000, I'm trying to be able to graphically display Bytes/second (and also by type) on each one of the devices during large cluster boot up periods.
What I've done - I used the Windows automatic installer at the top of the page and installed the IIS/CGI services on my box. This is going to sound ridiculous, but I don't even know how to get the cacti console page where I can have control over some of the tools via that.
Any help is greatly appreciated...I'll be happy to answer any questions
Thank you all.

Re: New Cacti User Trying to Graph SNMP
Lots of useful info at http://docs.cacti.net/. Read through the getting started section yet?
Search the script forum for existing templates for packet information. I seem to recall it requires additional software to break down that info in the router.
cacti webpage is probably: http://localhost/cacti/index.php
