DNSResponseTime issue

Post by danca »

Hi

The script dnsResponseTimeLoop.pl is working fine but the Graph Management debug is giving the below error 'ERROR: parameter '#55D6D3FF' does not represent a number in line LINE1" and the graph is not showing.

DataSource settings:

DataSource: dnsResponseTime

Data Template Selection: DNS Response Time
Host: None
Name: dnsResponseTime
Data Source Path: <path_rra>/max_1.rrd
query hostname: www.google.com

GraphManagement Debug:

RRDTool Command:

/usr/bin/rrdtool graph - \
--imgformat=PNG \
--start=-86400 \
--end=-300 \
--title='DNS Response Time @|host_description| FQDN' \
--base=1000 \
--height=120 \
--width=500 \
--alt-autoscale \
--vertical-label='delay (ms)' \
--slope-mode \
--font TITLE:12: \
--font AXIS:8: \
--font LEGEND:10: \
--font UNIT:8: \
LINE1:#55D6D3FF:"minimum" \
GPRINT::LAST:" last\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT::MIN:"min\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT::AVERAGE:"avg\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT::MAX:"max\:%8.2lf %s\n" \
LINE1:#F5F800FF:"median\:" \
GPRINT::LAST:" last\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT::MIN:"min\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT::AVERAGE:"avg\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT::MAX:"max\:%8.2lf %s\n" \
LINE1:#EA8F00FF:"average\:" \
GPRINT::LAST:"last\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT::MIN:"min\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT::AVERAGE:"avg\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT::MAX:"max\:%8.2lf %s\n" \
LINE1:#FF0000FF:"maximum\:" \
GPRINT::LAST:"last\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT::MIN:"min\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT::AVERAGE:"avg\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT::MAX:"max\:%8.2lf %s\n"

RRDTool Says:

ERROR: parameter '#55D6D3FF' does not represent a number in line LINE1:#55D6D3FF:minimum

Can you please help?

There's no data source item associated with that very graph. Goto Graph Management, edit taht graph and provide the required data source items
