Hi All -
I've done plenty of Googling and I believe I have read all LDAP messages on this forum -- but I still can't get LDAP to work.
I am running Cacti 0.8.7e on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and we are on Novell eDirectory 8.8 SP6.
Below are my LDAP settings....
LDAP General Settings:
Server - 10.2.2.15
Port Standard - 389
Port SSL - 636
Version - Version 2
Encryption - None
Mode - Specific Searching
LDAP Specific Search Settings:
Search Base - o=carthage
Search Filter - (&(objectClass=carthageUser)(cn=<username>))
Search Distinguished Name - cn=bind_user,ou=users,o=carthage
Search Password - bind_user password
When using the ldapsearch tool on Ubuntu I am able to connect to the LDAP server- this is what a typical user looks like in our Novell eDir. I also have many other systems using LDAP successfully -- Cacti is being very picky!!
# mmcgrath, users, carthage
dn: cn=mmcgrath,ou=users,o=carthage
givenName: Max
sn: McGrath
objectClass: inetOrgPerson
objectClass: carthageUser
objectClass: organizationalPerson
objectClass: Person
objectClass: ndsLoginProperties
objectClass: Top
objectClass: DirXML-PasswordSyncStatusUser
I am constantly getting the following error: LDAP Search Error: More than one matching user found
Any ideas?
Thanks!
