I am installing Cacti 8.7i on a Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise server that is part of a Windows domain. I am planning on using Spine to do the polling. Do I need to modify the permissions on cmd.exe to include the read and execute for iusr_"domain" account?

Re: cmd.exe Permissions
Yes - http://docs.cacti.net/manual:087:1_inst ... e_security
cmd.exe is used to launch everything Cacti requires on Windows. Sysinternals Process Monitor will show you all the dirty details, if really interested.

Re: cmd.exe Permissions
I guess I'm confused as I have a functioning system with just a standard user (non admin user) kicking off the scheduled task. CMD.EXE permissions were not changed and cmd.exe does not show up in the proc mon as denied. I don't want to open up any more security risks.
