how to get daily volume stats

Hi,
Can anyone let me know how can we poll a cisco router or firewall to get bandwidth (volume) stats on daily basis as we need to provide it to a customer in excel sheet in order to let them know how much traffic in GB or in our case TB they have used in a month with breakdown on daily basis?

You may want to study the reportit plugin to get sth similar to your requirements

Thanks for your suggestion, I have installed reportit for cacti but while trying to add report I am getting "Validation failed". Any idea?
