Threshold Creation Wizard hosts drop down empty

Post by ader »

cacti 0.8.7g
mysql 5.5.10
php 5.3.4
Mac OS X 10.8

-Plugin Arch = cacti-plugin-0.8.7g-PA-v2.9
-Settings = 0.71
-Thold = 0.4.9

After installing the plugins i've created a threshhold template, but when trying to add a new threshold using the wizard the hosts drop down menu is blank. I am also unable to create a notification list (Error: Save Failed.)

There are no errors in the cacti.log

I've tried re-installing thold, but no luck.

Any ideas / thought are much appreciated.

I realise your post is over a year old, but I just had the same problem and found the cause - I had cacti authentication set to 'none'. It seems that the thold plugin needs session data for something, and if you log in without authentication, there isn't any.

So.. set cacti to use either builtin authentication and thold magically works
