New to Linux

Post by DaRealSnakebyte »

Installed Cacti under Ubuntu 11.10 (oneiric). Got Cacti installed (I think) but cannot hit website. trying http://localhost/cacti and http://127.0.0.1/cacti, and it says "The requested URL /cacti was not found on this server." Th default "Hello" page works fine though. Almost seems like the web files never got created. Have installed every package I can think of related to Cacti, and no love.

I know this is probably pretty basic, but like I said, *nix newbie, so appreciate your help.

HELP!!!!

Figured it out, for some reason the apache2.conf file under /etc/apache2/ never got modified with the virtual site for cacti. Jumped over to /etc/cacti/ and pulled the config off of apache.conf, stuck it in there, and it worked like a charm. Hope that was right, but at least it works. Woot :D
