interface id=name ?

Post by fmalard »

I use cacti since years.

When a traffic graph is created, to identify one interface, cacti uses snmp oid. Example :

Localhost - Traffic - sit1 SNMP Version: 2, Community: public, OID: .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.16.9
RRD: /var/lib/cacti/rra/localhost_traffic_in_16.rrd

The interfaces on my linux system change some times.
One tunnel is activated on boot, then deleted ...

Cacti mixes all statistics : 2 different tunnels appears with similar graphs !

The only constant information is the name.
Could cacti verify interface name and not only oid ?
Note : tunnels have IPv6 address that could change !

Any solution ? Regards.

Use the index count changed reindex method.

For those wondering, I'm still here, but lost in the shadows. Yearning for less bugs. Who want's a Cacti 1.3/2.0? Streams anyone?
