Warn vs Alert

I had a quick question about the warn/alert functionality in Thold (I'm using 0.4.8-3).

I've set up a basic template with two different values for warn and alert and a realert cycle of 1 day.

After creating the thresholds from template, the systems breaching the warn level send an email notification every polling cycle (5 mins, in this case), while the systems breaching the alert level adhere to the realert set by the template. Is this intended behavior?
In addition, would it be feasible to submit a feature request to have individual realert cycles for the warn and alert mechanisms? I think that being notified less often for low-priority, breached conditions would be useful.
