Monitoring OSPFSPFRuns-Graphing simple OID

Post by clb71 »

I am seeing some issues with OSPF and I would like to monitor this particular OID to verify instability.

1.3.6.1.2.1.14.2.1.4.0.0.0.0 (Area 0)

I started out by duplicating an existing graph and data template. CPU Graph for Cisco.

I changed all of the appropriate tags and values, and started up the graph...no luck. I get "nan" on my counters.

Can someone help me out here. Just want to graph an simple Counter32 in cacti.

Thanks in advance.

Well then you shouldn't need our help :-) j/k

What's the status of your cmd.php/cactid? Is it polling the device and getting a value back?

Not sure how to check the status of cmd.php. I just run a ps -ef and I can see it polling devices...is that what you mean?

I added a generic SNMP OID template and that works fine, but I am trying to create Data and Graph templates, so I don't have to go through this process of adding a SNMP Generic each time.

Thoughts?

Run cmd.php manually from the command line, paste the output here. Or edit your cron-tab entry so that instead of redirecting to /dev/null, point it to something like /var/log/cacti.
