clearning graph data

Post by freddieb7 »

OK, so its Monday morning. I screwed up. Accidentally changed the date on my Cacti server way up into the future (like years ahead) and now graphs won't include any current information (I'm guessing until 2035, which is the year I accidentally set on my server).

How can I just clear out all existing graph data, or better yet, get rid of all graph data which is time-stamped after today?

Thanks.

You'll have to restore from your last rrdfile backup.

Unfortunately I'm not organized enough to have a backup. I turned up the logging and found the issue is with the 'poller_lastrun' variable that poller.php calls. Is there any way I can reset that so it doesn't tell me the last time poller ran was -785938103 seconds ago?

Simply run "php -q poller.php --force". If it does not correct itself, make sure that in the cli and apache based php.ini files the 'date.timezone' is set correctly. If things don't start updating, you will have to simply delete your rrdfiles and start over. In the future, backup your rrdfiles.
