cacti without Mysql

Post by futfut »

Hi,

I have to install a RRD graphing solution on a Windows 2008 R2 server. But I can't install MySQL database in this enterprise (I can't question this point).
I have an derby database embedded with an other application?

Can Cacti use Derby Database instead of MySQL? How can I do that?
Which functionnalities could be lost?

If not, what is your advice regarding a front-end to create and show up RRD graphs (5 graphs for 5 equipments) that don't need MySQL?

Thanks Regards,

Pierre

MySQL is the only supported database at this time.

Please use MySQL. So long as you do not build a commercial product based upon it, download away.

Well, I suppose that MariaDB will work as well. But this has not been verified ...

MariaDB works perfectly.
