Hi there,
I'm beginner in cacti/thold, and I have some (basic) problems with percentages.
I would like to create a threshold for traffic (Interface - Traffic template) which alert me when traffic get higher than 80% of total traffic.
But, when I create a threshold template with :
- Threshold type : High/Low values
- High Threshold : 80
- Low Threshold : 0
- Data type : percentage
But it doesn't work, when the graph is above '80', threshold is breached...
I think it's because the graph template Interface traffic (from cacti) isn't based on percentage...
So, my first question is : how to create a graph/template with percentage ? (how to get the traffic total ?) and will it work on thold like I did ?
My second question is : what is the baseline ? I don't get it goal...
Thank you
Edit : In fact the question is Is it possible to get the traffic in a percentage format ?

Re: cacti/thold percentage and baseline
I created a separate Graph Template associated with the Interface Data Query. Added the ifHighSpeed and then was able to thold on percentage utilization just fine.
I have not posted it anywhere.
