Obtaining a CSV/Excel Report

Post by colmoutard »

Hi folks, first post here, so bear with me. I tried doing a search for info, but didn't find anything conclusive.

We're running 0.8.7g on a SuSE box and Cacti seems to be working pretty well; we use Cacti to track our datacenter bandwidth and right now I've got nectar installed to generate some bandwidth reports. That works fine, but since the reports only come in as inline JPG or PNG files, there's not really a lot we can "do" with the data inside them.

Is there a way to get nectar (or another plugin or script) to generate a similar report but in CSV format so we can get some metrics we can more easily manipulate the data and look for trends? How are y'all handling this issue if you're trying to get to the same end result?

On the right hand side of the graph there is a CSV export button...

Yes, thank you! But the idea is to get this totally automated.
