Dear all,
I am now facing the problem to work with NPC. I am using CentOS with Cacti 0.8.7g.
It gives my this picture and I feel confused to populate current device into the NPC as well.
I really need your help!!!

Re: Cacti works with NPC
You have to create hosts/services through Nagios first. It is a somewhat lengthy topic that can easily become complicated, but the process is simple. You have to create/modify .cfg files in Nagios that define your monitoring rules.
This is your best friend: http://nagios.sourceforge.net/docs/3_0/toc.html
There are a handful of ready to go examples inside your Nagios directory by default, for the localhost. I would suggest reading over those to get familiar with the syntax and model that Nagios uses.
Once you have hosts in Nagios you can then go into the device details in Cacti and link graphs in Cacti to devices in Nagios. It's a really nice plugin for Cacti.
